The process of mining, refining and grading gemstones like diamond is very interesting. In various countries of the world there are various kinds of grading systems for diamonds. During this process the stones are treated with either wax or oil to further enhance the colors. The next treatment process is fracture filling process. Lead glass is filled into the diamonds to improve their appearance. Before the diamond is cut it must be planned well as it in this stage that the value of the stone is determined. The diamond is marked in places where it is to be cut. Size, direction, shape and clarity must all be incorporated before the cutting can begin. It is then sawed and cleaved manually. After this it is polished finely by machine. Finally it is polished and dispatched to Fine Jewelry Manufacturers.
